Wenger: United clash is key

Arsene Wenger fears his side must beat Manchester United on Saturday to mount a serious title challenge.

The Arsenal boss knows the Gunners are under pressure after slipping to their third defeat of the season to Stoke at the weekend.

And Wenger now believes three points are a must when United visit the Emirates in their next Premier League fixture.

He said: “I don’t know how many more defeats we can afford — it is very difficult to say.

“We first have to win our next game and we have a chance again when we play Manchester United on Saturday.

“There is no better game in which to come back from a defeat and from a confidence point of view.

“It will also give us a chance to show we have quality.”
